Mui Be - Paradise

Mui Be - Sunset I
So we have arrived in Mui Ne and this place is even more spectacular than Nha Trang. I seriously feeling like Hunter S. Thompson in the Rum Diaries, Which I do plan to reread tonight. We got into a little resort style place with individual bungalows that are literally right onto the beach. You open the door... and you are on the beach. Thats how close we are. I'm sitting here, drinking Rhum with Ice, watching the waves crash into shore and enjoying the view from a nice relaxing deck chair. There is also a pool here and a little faux-beach, but what is the need!

This place is very largely different from the rest of Vietnam. There is not much here other than resorts, both cheap and expensive and some restaurants. Its largely a tourist town with nothing other to do than explore the massive sand dunes, watch the sun move throughout the day and drink ice cold rum, Which is both plentiful and cheap.

It is unlikely that we will spend more than three nights here due to the fact that there is little to do here. I mean, I'm not complaining, but its just, theres not a lot to do here.

Mui Be - Sunset II
The bus ride wasn’t too bad. It took about an hour longer than expected but that seems to be pretty normal. We hadn’t booked anything prior to our arrival but that wasn’t a big deal as most budget resorts have representative waiting at the bus stop hopeing to lure tourists to their resorts. So it only took about 10 minutes to find a place. Fortunately, the three of us are sharing one bungalow, which means we’ve gone decently upmarket (at least for this place) and gotten something really really nice.

Mui Be - Sunset III
This place is just beautiful. As I am writing this I am looking directly into the water as the sun begins to set over the South China Sea. It is unbelievably hot and sunny here, but the cool breeze that comes off the oceans makes it just perfect to enjoy. I don’t think I could ask for anything more. Its just perfect. This is paradise, and for $25 a night (split three ways) it can’t get much better. I mean common! A Fucking beach front bungalow in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen for $25 a night!

Lunch was even nice. We went to a local place across the street from our resort (the restaurant here is a bit too pricy for our liking) I had Banh Xeo, Pho, a rice flour pancake with pork and shrimp and beef soup, respectively, two beers, and a coffee for about 80k.... about $4.

Thats all for now. Going to enjoy this place tonight!
